"The original or the remix?"

These last couple of years it seems like songs are being remixed left and right.  It's becoming a reoccurring question as to if the song you're listening to is the original or if its a remixed version or sampled from an already existing song. The good thing about this is that instead of burning out your new favorite song by listening to it over and over, you can listen to an altered version and mix things up a little bit every once and awhile.
The part about this thats quiet aggravating is this: someone puts on a song claiming they've discovered the next big hit, when really the song there hearing is a remixed version of a different song.  Proceeding this is a huge discussion/ argument about if it really is a remix or which version came first or who the original artist was and so and so forth.
Furthermore the original artist of the new popular remixed song tends to get no credit.  While everyone is jamming to the new altered beat and rhythm of a song, they forget that without the original artist there would be no remix at all.
Give credit where credit is due.

Newspapers

I've realized lately that its been quiet a long time since I've seen anyone reading a newspaper.  It's all about information over the web now-a-days.  There was once a day when newspapers were the source of the newest news, but that day has long gone.  Newspapers are becoming obsolete.
With the web people can get there news fast and free.  Modern day teens and younger adults are naturally not the most patient people.  We know what we want and we want it as soon as possible.  Newspapers is just not the way to go anymore when it comes to meeting the needs of today.
While newspaper companies struggle, the world wide web is holding strong and shows no sign of slowing.  In other words I predict it wont be long until newspapers are no more and everybody everywhere will be carrying around a computer for the latest information.  Tell me about any piece of news and I can minimize this page, go to google and find out pages full of information on the topic.  All in about 5 minutes.  It would take me about 15-20 to get in my car, drive to a store, and purchase a paper.  Not to mention the cost of the paper and gas.
